Officials are investigating a 1 train derailment near the 96th Street subway station on the Upper West Side, the MTA said Thursday.
The agency said 1 train service was suspended between South Ferry and 137th Street-City College in both directions, and emergency teams were on the scene and assisting passengers. The FDNY said emergency responders were evaluating 8 people, but none of their injuries appeared to be life-threatening.
The MTA said Thursday afternoon that 1 and 3 trains were skipping stops. Officials also said 2 trains were running on the 5 line. Delays on the 5, 7 and A trains were also possible, the MTA said.
