It’s Wednesday afternoon in New York City, where a subway train derailed, again.

Here’s what else is happening:

  • Some of the Upper West Siders who showed up to a public workshop about potentially repurposing curbside parking spots did not like the idea of doing that.
  • An undercover investigation by the Humane Society found that Sloth Encounters, a sloth-themed petting zoo on Long Island, has allegedly been abusing sloths, keeping them in too-tight quarters and letting them fight each other.
  • Newark Airport’s Terminal A now has a sensory room for people with autism that’s designed to “transport travelers to the Jersey Shore.”
  • Now that George Santos isn’t in Congress anymore, the bit doesn’t really work.
  • Manuel Rocha, a former U.S. ambassador to Bolivia, has been arrested for allegedly working as a spy for Cuba for more than 40 years.
  • Online retailers say they expect about 17% of this season’s holiday purchases that get “returned” for a refund will actually be packages full of bricks, old shoes and other things fraudsters stick free return labels on.
  • The mobile game “Kim Kardashian: Hollywood” is ending after 10 years, leaving players who spent real money on in-game purchases for their characters feeling frustrated and betrayed.
  • Carrie Coon is checking into the “White Lotus” for season 3 of the HBO show.
  • And finally, don’t cross this crab:
