1550 Sunrise Highway, Copiague
Lake Success-based SNL Storage purchased a 32,400-square-foot industrial building on 1.9 acres at 1550 Sunrise Highway for $5.2 million. The property was formerly occupied by Pets Warehouse. SNL Copiague LLC, an affiliate of SNL Storage, is planning to demolish part of the existing structure and construct a three-story, 38,890-square-foot self-storage facility on the site, according to its application with the Town of Babylon. The company, which primarily develops self-storage facilities throughout the New York metropolitan area, has built two previous self-storage projects on Long Island in the last couple of years.
