A New York City public school teacher has been arrested for exchanging sexual text messages with a 16-year-old student, cops said.
Shahiem Willis, 25, was nabbed Tuesday morning and charged with acting in a manner injurious to a child in connection to the illicit exchange with the teenage boy, police said.
The “text messages of sexual content” were sent between July 19 and 20 in Queens, authorities said.

Online records indicate Willis is a general education, per-diem teacher, though it was not immediately clear at what school.
The city’s Department of Education did not immediately reply to a request for comment Wednesday.
Police released Willis’ photo late Tuesday in hopes that the public could “provide further information” on him.
