Brooklyn-based sportswear brand J. McLaughlin is opening a new store in Garden City.

The company will open a 2,800-square-foot store at 179 Seventh St. on Friday, Feb. 9. The store will feature the brand’s wide selection of women’s and men’s apparel and accessories.

The new Garden City store will be J. McLaughlin’s fifth Long Island location, following stores in Locust Valley, Huntington, Southampton and Southold.

“We are thrilled to open our newest J.McLaughlin in the Garden City community and are so excited to have found the perfect location for our store,” Mary Ellen Coyne, CEO at J.McLaughlin, and a Garden City native, said in a company statement. “Garden City is now one of our largest J.McLaughlin stores with a full selection of women’s and men’s modern classic styles. We look forward to building meaningful connections with new and existing customers and our team is dedicated to providing an exceptional atmosphere to shop with highly personalized customer service.”
